Artworkshops is an educational art consultancy dedicated to helping teachers and children get more out of the Art curriculum, especially at Key Stages 1 and 2, and as an introduction to processes at Key Stage 3.

We provide training courses for infant, primary and middle school teachers and work with them in organising educational art and craft activities within the curriculum for children.  We also produce detailed art and craft resource packs with step-by-step instructions for teachers to enable them to undertake exciting creative projects with children.  We also provide support for the organisation and running of Arts Weeks

Through our work with teachers and children we have met a lot of Art Co-ordinators and subject teachers who need our help in bringing the best in Art education to their schools, so this web site  provides a single source of information on all of the courses and educational resources available from Artworkshops.

Our aim for teachers is

  • To explain how to achieve 'good art practices'
  • To teach new art methods
  • To explain processes
  • To inspire new ideas and confidence in teaching
  • And to revitalise the art curriculum

Our work with children

  • Generates enthusiasm for Art, Craft & Design
  • Enables them to experience new processes and materials
  • Gives them confidence and a sense of achievement by producing exciting pieces of art

New Our very popular African batik (Key Stage 1) and Wax batik packs have been totally reviewed, and enlarged second editions are now available. We have also introduced CDs containing all of the images in the packs - to be used with interactive white boards.

All of our Project Teaching Packs have been developed specifically for Key Stages 1 and 2 and as an introduction to processes for Key Stage 3 and cover a range of exciting Art and Craft skills.  They are excellent value for money and  provide valuable information, guidance and support for teachers and their support staff.  You can also order a CD of all of the images in each pack to use with an interactive white board and DVDs are available to complement our Wax batik and Screen-printing packs. Fibrecrafts produces a range of Starter Packs containing the necessary materials and equipment to get you started on each of the projects.

Both teachers and children will also find lots of ideas on the website, and can view pictures of artwork created by other children in the photogalleries.  We will be happy to include your school art if you send us pictures by email.  Please  confirm that you own the copyright in the photographs and that you give us permission to display the pictures on this website. Where children are in the picture this will also require the parent's permission.
