This Project Teaching Pack links the curriculum subjects of Art and History in an exciting project on screen-printing banners and pennants. It is suitable for Key Stage 2 and can also be used as an introduction to the process for Key Stage 3. Screen-printing is not difficult and can be successfully experienced by Primary children. This pack is all you need to get you started! It is packed full of information on how to achieve good results and is our largest yet at 83 pages, with 64 full colour photographs.
The importance of design ideas is addressed with a large section on historical sources. This includes 183 motifs to be used in the classroom including shield shapes, designs, helmets etc. and is a great classroom resource for further work. 64 colour photographs include coats of arms, design ideas, step by step process photographs and finished banners and pennants. The pack also contains great photographs of screen-printing produced by children, and a few are also shown in the photo gallery. With the exception of consumable materials and equipment the pack includes everything necessary to try screen-printing. It also provides guidance for further work.
